I’m a 6-foot-tall 190lb man, and ordered size 34, which I have been wearing for the past 10 years or so. These Tommy Hilfiger Cargo Shorts fit me perfectly. On me, a size 34 should be slightly loose around the waist, which these are. I tighten them up with a belt (which these do not include). Keep in mind the waist liner is not stretchy, so be sure to order your exact size (better to order a little large than small). The 100% cotton material is soft to the touch and comfortable against my skin. It feels thin, but not too thin. Just enough to keep the weight down, but not too much to feel flimsy.There is a button above the zipper, but all the pockets use snaps (which I personally prefer). Two snaps on each of the front pockets, and one snap at the center of each back pocket. There are a few areas where the stitching is cosmetically flawed, but nothing overtly noticeable or anything that negatively affects the construction. I simply cut off any loose threads.Note: These do not have reinforcement at the top corners of the front cargo pockets (which is fairly common not to have, but some shorts do). I find these areas are the first to wear out and get holes. Thus, could limit their lifespan.From what I understand, fashion experts say shorts should be high above the knees (the inseam). Then again, some fashion experts say no to cargo shorts altogether, so who cares? I personally am more comfortable with this style and like the bottoms to touch my knees, but not be below them. In the product images, these shorts look like they sit just above the model’s knees (maybe he has a smaller size?). But for me, the size 34 sits around the center of my knees. Not above or below. (I measured 21 inches (21”) from the top of the shorts to the bottom.) I personally like it this way, but others may not. Keep in mind the length of your legs—and size shorts you order—may vary your results (my legs are fairly long).Made in Bangladesh. Wash and dry inside out, machine wash warm, with like colors, non-chlorine bleach only, dry promptly, tumble dry normal cycle, medium heat, medium heat iron if necessary. Because they are 100% cotton, expect some shrinking from the dryer. I ordered a Medium in this short and although the fit is ok, I think it ran a little bigger than the reviews indicate. And that’s even with big quads. I would think a Small would fit better. Even though I wear a 32inch waist, they run loose around the waist. The material does seem to be of good quality and the feel is very comfortable. I may order another pair if they hold up well. I do like the zipper side pockets and the side v shaped design that may allow for flexibility in doing squats or deads. Good overall shorts! I have a 35" waist and the XXL from this vendor was too small. Typically the XL from other vendors fit fine. Loose enough fit for comfortable running & working out. Florida’s climate is hot and sometimes humid. Winter in Florida is much like Fall up north - cool mornings, hot days, and cool nights. My husband’s favorite season is Fall! These athletic shorts are very comfortable and breathable, and feel great! Fit well Happy with this product. I would purchase it again. It fits exactly as expected and seems mostly durable enough though the fabric does seem a little thin. After regular wear for a couple of months, it's holding up well. My hubby has looked everywhere at local stores for cargo shorts with a zipper pocket but no luck. I hesitate to purchase clothes online, but had no other choice. I'm so glad I did! These shorts not only have one zipper pocket, but two! My hubby was so excited as I caught him by surprise when the gift arrived at our door. And they are a perfect fit. I just ordered his standard waist size and the size is true to fit. Also, he is tall at 6 foot 4 inches and the shorts come just above the knee where he likes them. I had seen shorts with shorter legs but opted for this longer set and he is very happy with them.
