The shorts were covered in hair (cat) and I’m allergic to the dander. These shorts were obviously used. No stickers or tags attached to the item. We love these shorts. I Bought 6 pairs 3 for my husband’s work and 3 for casual wearing . You can dress them up or you can work in them , great quality of denim!! Great price!! Fits perfect My husband had a pair of these from what must have been a decade ago. I can't really say exactly when he got them, but he's had them since before we met, and that was a few years ago now. They were ratty and threadbare around the edges, and he finally ripped a big hole along the lower hem on one leg, where an existing smaller hole caught on something while he was moving around. Rrriiip. They were well beyond repair. But he continued to wear them anyway. Now, I'm a real laid back girlfriend/wife. I get the old comfortable clothes/ chairs/ whatever kind of stuff, and I usually don't push my guys (past and present) to get rid of things. Heck, I have stuff like that myself. You let the ratty shorts slide, sure, okay. But the shorts that literally have a 5" tear along the lower hem, those have gotta go. That's when you go... babe, get a new pair of shorts, and then when he doesn't, you hunt the same pair of shorts down online. That's how I got here, and bought these. Haha! They're as sturdy as the last pair, new, and they immediately became his favorite pair of shorts. He mostly stopped wearing the ratty ones, except for when these were in the wash. Now, I got him a 38, because that's what the old ones were, and they do fit him nicely. However, I've measured him, and his waist is more around 40-42 depending on placement. He can wear these shorts without a belt, mostly, but he still puts one on when going outside. So they might run a tad large. Really, depends what you expect in pants. If you expect to have to wear a belt, then probably order at your normal size. If you like to go sans-belt, maybe order a size down.Enjoy your shorts, guys. They're actually really good quality. Nice sweater. Good color and fit. Watch the price as it goes up and down. These shorts fit my 15 yo son perfectly. He has long legs and is thin, and these are just the shorts for him. The mens' sizes are good for him because the shorts are long enough to reach his knee (two inches longer than the boys version with the same waist size) and yet slim enough to fit well. Great find for slimmer guys, Great design and fabric. Comfortable. I don't really care for the flare of the sleeves near the wrist but the rest is great. Good quality and stretch. Pretty much true to size. But good luck figuring out front/back! We took note of the measurement instructions and found the correct size - which is different from sizing on men's pants in general - and the handy snap and buckle adjustments are great as his size changes (my son is 13). That being said - he's thrilled with the kilt, we'll definitely have to get another one. It fit perfectly and he wore it to scouts as soon as he could - they all thought it was cool too!The belt loops are nice and large, everything sturdy and well sewn. Great pockets that are useful for his phone and gadgetry he carries around as well. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase - the expression on his face when he opened the package on Christmas was simply priceless as he'd been asking for a kilt for some time now! I work in a warehouse with robotic equipment, often I have to kneel down and work on that heavy equipment, and these pants do the job and more at home. The detachable pockets are great for washing and just modifying the pants for the job you're doing. They're so good I even bought another color of them to mix it up!Yearly update:Had to sew the low crotch area right between the legs, as well as the threading at the knees coming undone and requiring repair. I'm planning on getting new pants, so these have about a life expectancy of one year before requiring repair. Great quality fabrication of this kilt, very well made! the size described its about 2 sizes larger in waist and length, be careful. These are descent light weight bdu pants, but they are a little tight in my size. I'm a 36 waist and I have to suck it in a bit to button. Everything else I have in 36 like jeans, regular pants, cargo pants/shorts fit so I would suggest going 1 size up and if they're a little lose use the cinch strings to tighten them up. Otherwise a nice pair of pants. Great fit, better price...
