I assumed because of the price these would be well made. Wrong! They are cheaply made. I wore a pair out to go fishing. Bent over to pick up my backpack while out and the backside ripped wide open on a brand new pair. Mind you I bought 3 pair. Second pair I had a hole rip where my phone was sitting in my back pocket. I would not recommend these to anyone even my worst enemy. Love these shorts. Have them in the String color (a kind of tan).Just ordered another pair of String and a pair of Navy color in size 40. I need about 41"The String fits just as before (about 40-3/4" so expands about 1/4"), but the Navy is way too small (about 39-1/4" -- a full 1-1/2" smaller than the String color). The Navy would fit me if my waist was 40" using about half of the stretch. But the stretch is fully used up on my 41" waist.I just ordered 42" Navy, hoping they also are about 3/4" smaller than the rated size.42" String color would be way too large for meGot the 42" Navy and they fit perfectly, exactly like the 40" String. Great shorts. After being hesitant I went for a purchase of the 5 inch in blue. I’m 5’9 about 200lb very lean muscular. My waist is 30 and I have a very large bubble butt. This fit perfectly, comfortably snug around the legs. And for my size medium was perfect. I’d imagine any smaller types would need a smaller size. After this I also purchased the 3 inch which I was even more hesitant for and love the feel as well on certain workout days like legs. Great product, great quality. I’ve had trouble finding shorts for working out that fit the bill, and this line of shorts was the answer. I purchased every color in 5 inch and 3 of them in the 3 inch. The blue color is great, the grey is standard but nice, the navy blue is even darker than I expected, almost black without enough lighting, but it is my girlfriends favorite out of the colors and she’s got the better style judgement! The colors I can’t vouch for yet is the red and camouflage, but looking forward to it, just like the rest I’d imagine they look even better than the pictures. For an XL I figured it would be made for people with bigger legs such as myself. It's not exactly "too small" but it is "somewhat smaller" than what I thought I would get. Cool design though! Same great quality as before. Waist band seems to be of good quality. Not sure why they scrimped on the draw string length tho. Barely long enough to make a knot. My previous pairs were plenty long enough. While this is a bit annoying I would still recommend these shorts.
