These look and fit great. They barely cover my butt. There might even be slight cheek. I am 5'7" and 145lb. I got a medium. The waistband is snug on me and I am usually a small. I can't bundle the buldge totally so leave me alone. I figure it's no different than a woman's clothing sometimes. I hope the short shorts for men trend continues. I might not be the only one in the gym soon. Maybe guys need to get their power back. it was great my boyfriend love it I Wear 38 Jeans, bought 38 in shorts, but expected a loose fit. I think they will work. I don't know If I would have purchased these if I had tried them on. The "spandex" only stretches vertically. 2 WAY STRETCH, NOT 4 WAY.Beware, this is a listing for various models of Board and swim. The Board shorts were great, and the swim was embarrassing to wear as I had to Roll the Waistband to get them to stay up. We found these online for half the price of what we were finding in stores even with end of season sales. The print is nice, material is nice and light. Good fit The fabric is really harsh and not really comfortable. Might be better after a few washes. But now it's hard to even want to wear them. One of my favorite running brands. Great designs, colors, fit and quality. Fantastic pair of shorts. Fits perfectly no rubbing or scaffolding and it feels very comfortable and light Love these shorts i wear all the time I got these in 1 inch inseam in hot pink and 3 inch inseam with neon green.They are not ideal for my needs. May be great for running. I wore them for a walk and they are comfortable and airy. My issue is they do not work so well for anything else due to the high split side. I guess that is necessary for movement since the fabric itself has zero stretch. But depending on how the fabric positions when sitting or lying on the sofa it can be like having a modified table napkin across my crotch with a clear full view of the liner. I am not modest but I would rather it not look like I am exaggerating immodesty.I think the 3 inch inseam version might help with that problem although I have not worn those yet.Otherwise, I must say I love the fabric and the hot pink looks surprisingly good with my skin tone. The pink is actually a deeper pink that how it appears in the photo on their Amazon page. Look up the DEMOZU brand in hot pink and that’s how the BOA looks. Ironically, I also got the DEMOZU in hot pink and they are a paler pink more like the BOA photo, but I digress.I wish BOA would make these in more of a gym short style with a smaller split side and I would probably bump this up to 4 or 5 stars.I recently reviewed the ASICS shorts and only gave them 3 stars due to some mixed feelings about them, particularly the price. Now that I have worn the BOA which are a couple of bucks more expensive I have to confess I prefer the ASICS. With a 35" waist, I was between a medium and a large. I went large at first, and the elastic band is stretchy enough that they fit well, in a more baggy, but not bulky style. But out of curiosity, I also ended up ordering a pair of mediums, and they are a nicer, more tailored fit.The shorts themselves are well designed. The material is on the lighter side, and is cut nicely. I got these particular shorts because they are the only ones I found with a zippered pocket, which I need to carry the keys to our place in the Bahamas, while snorkeling. I had a wonderful, very old pair of Speedo shorts that eventually died with age, and these are a great replacement. The elastic waistband and the drawstring are basically floating free in a fabric tunnel, leading them to get tangled up sometimes which becomes uncomfortable. The fit well and they look great. They are lightweight and perfect for the summer. nice..i work in a warehouse where sometimes a sweatshirt is to much but these are just what i was looking for to have underneath my t shirt
