I love these shorts I don't like nine to long or baggy but also not to tight and that above your knees look so there right in-between. I keep loosing and gaining weight so got a size 34 but prolly would of been better size 33 but they still fit. They do seem to stretch out in the waist after wearing them a lil bit. I'd like some feedback on best way to wash and dry these shorts tho! Thanks I've had a string of imperfect swim shorts as of late, and suddenly I have a positive favorite. These are super comfortable (and thank God the tags tore out cleanly without ruining the seams!), properly sized, easy to wear, and...they have a fully zippered pocket with a loop inside for tying important items off! Everything is done just right here. I hate when swim shorts fail to have a pocket and I don't like Velcro that much. Worse is when they're not able to close at all. This way, I can always at least take a hotel key, and I can also take my (waterproof) camera when I go out snorkeling.They look good, too. And fit as expected. I like the drawstring closure, as many others have mentioned. Several have commented that the sizing can be off. I found the 34" that I received to be true to size. Rip Curl makes a great board short and I have found the durability/quality to be great. This particular pair are in a great blue color with great 3-way stretch. Once wet, they dry quickly and the inseam is good at 20". They sit right below the waist on the hips. Excellent price point for a true board short. They ripped the first time that I wore them. Very disappointed! These shorts are a hit. I am 56 yrs old / 140 lbs / 5'6" on a good day. I have a lean but muscular runner's build. Scrappy. Due to my height and leg size it is impossible to find running shorts that fit well. On one hand I do not like hip-hop length running shorts that make a shorter guy look even shorter, are comically huge around the leg and are just not age appropriate. Sort of like wearing my ball cap backwards. On the other hand I do not like running shorts that are so short a slight breeze exposes half my hind quarters and screams "creepy" to all the lady folk at the gym. Several reviewers have noted that these are short-shorts which may well be the case for them. But for me these shorts are appropriate and good fitting in terms of both length and leg size. They are not snug or tight in the front in a form-fit age when nothing is apparently left to the imagination anymore. Believe me, I was a runner in the 70s when a pair of shorts like these would have been pretty pedestrian and conservative. There is no drawstring and the liner is a bit loose. I can buy several pairs of these for what I would pay for a major brand pair of ill-fitting shorts. Great summer trunks and well made. Nice detail and all around satisfied 3 sizes too small. Go 3 sizes bigger. Good stitching, stretchable fabric, I like most of what they do.Con - the lower leg pockets wrapped to the top of the leg. No good pocket for cellphone. Cell phone in lower pocket bounces on top of the leg as you walk. Great fit and comfortable. These shorts are well suited to a lean build.I'm told they're comfortable. The material isn't particularly stretchy, but they have enough give to allow unrestricted movement.There's a pocket large enough for a wallet.They look stylish on. He works in a pizza shop that can get hectic and hot. He loves these shorts and says they are comfortable and keep him cool. They are also easy care. Good value for the price.
