Edited approx. Two weeks after my last edit: I contacted the seller and they were nice enough to send me a new pair. These are great pants, and I still basically don't wear anything other than them!Edited after 5 months of owning my first pair of these. Sadly, I bought these for hiking and the crotch (topmost part between my thighs to be more specific) of them is beginning to wear out just from walking and living my normal life in them. That is a real bummer. I can see my underwear through them now. :( Had to change my review from 5 stars to 3 stars due to the seeming lack of longevity of these pants under normal/intended use.Original review: I love these pants. Honestly I feel so prepared and comfortable wearing these. My only complaint is that I don't have more pairs of these pants lol. Also, they fit perfectly on me. Love the Velcro ankle straps! These look great on my husband and he finds them comfortable to wear. Sizing was a little tricky so we bought the large and the X large and in honesty there was very little difference between the two (kept both). So if you're concerned about being between sizes, I would definitely recommend sizing up. The shorts seem to be true to size, since the size large fits just as well as other shorts I have of that size. That indicates that the size chart shown with the shorts (according to which a 37" waist requires 2XL) is inaccurate. The color shown in the picture on my screen is accurate. The shorts have 3 roughly average-sized pockets--2 front & 1 back--without zippers or other closures. The waist, but not the drawcord, is elasticized. The shorts have a fake fly without an opening. The legs hang down just below my knees. The material seems to be about the same thickness as that of a heavy-weight t-shirt, so it's cooler than fleece.
