Comfortable and stylish. Great quality material thats not too thin but breathes well. I always liked 5.11 and these are no exception The Carhartt 38" run like a Lee 36" and were too small so I ordered the 40" which runs slightly too big for me (I'm closer to 37" waist). Normally a belt alleviates this issue but the front belt loops on the Carhartt's are so far apart the the button and front of shorts falls below my belt. Very annoying. I like the build quality but won't buy another pair because of the and belt loop issue and weird sizing. First off, I love these pants. They’re great for hiking, hunting, shooting, duty and just general everyday wear. Tons of pockets make it easy to carry everything you need. The adjustable leg straps are great for loosening when it’s hot or tightening when walking through thick brush. Have not had an issue with quality at all and would 100% recommend these pantsDISLIKES: the only thing I would complain about is the waist size. It runs a little small. I’m usually a 32-34 waist but decided to go up a size to play it safe and they are tight. Not horribly tight but I definitely cannot carry IWB while wearing these. Also, not a huge fan of the 2 button system (snap and traditional button).If you’re able to get a pair that fit just right, these are phenomenal pants. I purchased these for autumn off road trail riding. I wanted a heavier cotton pant for warmth but flexibility. My first ride with these was 55 miles late October after a heavy rain fall. Kept comfortable without overheating, took the mud splatter without soaking through, washed well without shrinking. Comfortable enough that I wear these for casual use as well. Outstanding construction worth the premium price over the average tactical pants. Plenty of secure and convenient pockets for phone, small gear, keys, multitool, etc. Fit as expected and wear well. Loved this “pink and white” sweater, until it arrived and the whole back panel is a light cocoa color. It doesn’t even match the pink. I’m disappointed. The product is nice. Size is spot on. These are great shorts, so lightweight and comfortable. After I received and wore my first pair I immediately bought several others to have on hand just in case I ruined the first ones. If they had a greater variety of colors I would buy even more!I still might buy a couple more pairs, as it seems that any time I find clothing as perfect as this, they either discontinue manufacturing and/or raise the price. These will be my go to shorts for sure No dislikes...lotsa color options Bought size 34 waist. I'm less than 6' tall and these are too short in length to cover the knees and too small an inseam to even pull them up to your hips comfortably. It's like I ordered hot pants. Not a very loose fit in the thighs, either. Really disappointing considering my three favorite shorts are Volcoms from almost 10 years ago. The waist is slightly large, but the area where the zipper would normally be in a pair of jeans, is a little tight. He doesn't like the "tight" look on his junk. He said they dried up nice and the shorts didn't ride. But he still will not wear them during any family time. Like others, I think if you can get a good fit, then you will like them. But the good fit part may be the issue.He 39, 5'10, 177lbs, 33x30 jean, and long torso'ed. These shorts are very comfortable and fit "as expected". Bad news is that now that I like them Amazon is out of virtually also other colors in my size.
