These are only one layer of a pretty thin fabric you can see through. They will last a few months, thata about it. But hey...they do the job These are true to size. These are very comfortable shorts. They’re made of nylon but they feel more like silk and they’re very light. They have a bvd type liner sewn into them that’s made of the same material as the outer part and it holds everything in place just enough to be comfortable down there but not constricting. I’m on the borderline between two sizes and I got the larger size and it worked out perfect, the waist is just tight enough to hold the shorts up but loose enough to give me comfortable range of movement and room to expand at the waist after I eat. Definitely warm weather shorts, they’ve been good for exercising and lounging around the house and I’ve also slept in them, they’re very comfortable to sleep in. I think they’d be good for people who travel/camp/hike, they’re very light and pack tight and they should be easy to wash by hand and hang dry (I think they’d dry over night if not in a few hours). I got the “sandy” color ones which are a little darker and more a mixture of khaki and light olive green than the light “sandy” color pictured above on the web page. I also got the “navy” blue which are almost black and, the “olive drab green” which are…, olive drab green. The only very minor complaint I have is the little pocket that’s sewn into the waist band tore in half along the seam during the first run through the washing machine, but I probably never would have used it anyway so no real problem. I strongly recommend giving these a try. 4.7 stars. Bought some of these years ago at the Base Exchange and literally wore them out because they were so comfortable to wear. Finally I looked at the badly worn tag on my last pair and low and behold they are still being made. I can't say if the quality will be as good as my old ones until a couple of seasons from now, but they sure are very comfortable to wear. I have 3 teenage boys and I bought one for each of them. They practically live in them. Super comfortable and breathable material. They were such a hit, I had to get them a second pair AND one for my husband!!! I need to get more. I bought a pair - in a surfer shop in Malibu -- and liked them so much - I went back to get another pair - and they were out ---So I bought two pair online -- and will buy more.Soft - thick -- with a string that actually works - and doesn't burrow back into the loop like a snake and disappear.Deep pockets - that actually hold things --- a wallet, you car keys - whatever I will be wearing a pair of these - as my go-to attire - until they fit me for diapers in the rest home. It’s a nice weight sweater - heavier than I expected. Seems like a good quality. But...It’s very form fitting and VERY long. I’m 5’5” and 139 and ordered a size large. It came half way to my knees though it felt tight every where else. Showed every bulge and flaw. Sent it back. They fit a little big but are very nice. Would order more but in a smaller size. My son usually wears a 2x but these are a little on the bigger size so he needs an XL What great freakin’ shorts. They fit with comfort with the stretch fabric that dries very quickly.Nice color that holds up after washes and rough usage. Waist fit but they’re more like 17 inches long not 20 Great length and roomy enough to allow for walking, running and other extreme activities. I can see why these are skateboarding shorts. They're excellent for kicking and pushing, rail grinds and kickflips. A must for anyone who likes a perfect fit at the waist with ample room in the crotch and a decent length.
